I’m a mobile hairdresser based in Amsterdam.
I travel to your home or office and offer haircuts in both Japanese and English.
Background
I started my career as a hairdresser in Japan, then moved to the United States. Over 14 years, I built my craft working with clients in both countries.
In spring 2016, I moved to Amsterdam. I wanted to work on my own terms — and the Netherlands made that straightforward. Going independent as a mobile hairdresser felt like the natural next step.
I don’t have a salon. That’s a deliberate choice.
Being able to go anywhere is the whole point.
How I cut hair
I work primarily with dry cutting.
Cutting hair dry lets me see exactly how it falls and moves — which means I can shape it around your bone structure, hair texture, and how you actually style it day to day.
I pay attention to trends, but I don’t force them. What I’m really after is a cut that makes your daily routine easier.
Who I work with
Most of my clients are Asian, roughly half of them Japanese. Many are families of expats, or people who’ve settled in Amsterdam and are looking for a hairdresser they can actually talk to.
The majority of new clients come through referrals — which I think says more than any review.
